WaterGuard® Waterproofing System

WaterGuard is a special drainage channel that was engineered to take care of basement leaks without having to worry about it getting clogged with soil from below the basement floor. It has large holes in the back which will be able to accept water, and it also has a flange with segments that will help to drain water from any kind of a basement wall leak. This waterproofing system was specially-designed to sit on top of the footing and out of the soil below your basement floor so that it can't ever clog.

The WaterGuard drainage system also has a wall flange that will help with creating a clean-looking area between the floor and wall to help with draining any wall seepage that your basement may have. The best part is it's no clog-design will prevent any dirt or debris to ever get inside and cause problems with the system. This waterproofing system can be installed with all types of foundations, including cinder block, stone, and poured concrete.

WaterGuard Waterproofing System

Weep holes are drilled into a block wall foundation to drain water out of the system. Water gets into the WaterGuard system through holes on the wall side and then will flow into a sump pump or some other kind of drain. This system will intercept water at the cove (where the wall meets the floor) surrounding the perimeter of your basement and it will be drained away so that it can't build up and cause water damage below your home.

Why Waterproof a Basement?

A lot of homeowners call us and want to know why they need to waterproof their basement. When you have a safe, dry, and healthy basement, you don't need to worry about water damage, mold growth, or other various problems associated with basement moisture. Regardless of whether you have a finished basement or if you ever plan on finishing it, you still need to be sure that your basement is dry so that you don't have to deal with dangerous mold or wood rot to support beams and floor joists.

What Can I Do With a Dry Basement?

With a dry basement, you'll be able to finish this space or simply use it for storage. The WaterGuard drainage system has proven itself to be an effective solution and a definite improvement over old fashioned waterproofing systems.

Feel free to call us for more information about getting the WaterGuard drainage system installed, or to schedule a consultation. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
